futura // package design

My design process began with an exploration of the origins of Futura, a clean, modern sans-serif typeface that is heavily based on geometric shapes, especially the circle. I allowed these elements to control my logo design and worked to provide an adequate visual of the typeface on the package. In an effort to balance information, this included showcasing the different weights of the font on the band wrapping around the package. The package’s color palette represents the bold simplicity of the typography design, particularly for its era.
