STICKFRAME ARCHITECTURE // BRANDING

Eric Army, founder and principal of StudioMEJA, invited Johnson & Wales’ Design Solutions Team to brand and create collateral for his new residential architecture business, StickFrame. Andrew Mörner and I were assigned to communicate Stick Frame’s core values to the company’s audiences through a cohesive visual identity.

StickFrame’s vision is to empower homeowners to create the right spaces for their next stage in life. The company guides homeowners through the journey of defining and creating their ideal lifestyles. The attributes associated with this process have been defined as dynamic, textured, structured, and focused. These four attributes guided Andrew and I in our exploration for creating the StickFrame logo, website, print collateral, and slide deck.

Our process began with participation in a workshop with Giant Shoulder’s Brand Strategists, who provided us with a detailed brand brief that outlined the vision, impact, services, key stakeholders and audiences, and competitive advantages for StickFrame. During the workshop we explored attributes associated with the brand identity and began sketching and sharing our ideas, exploring various elements such as shapes, typography and contrast.
