Bocaditos Del Sol // Restaurant Branding
Who doesn’t love Mexican food? Bocaditos Del Sol is a vibrant Mexican restaurant with a touch of Aztec culture where street food meets fine dining. In a collaboration among a team of chefs and two fellow graphic designers, Lachelle Crossley and Sydney Maresca, we were challenged to create collateral for a plated 8 course fine dining meal.
Our process began by branding and creating a logo for Bocaditos Del Sol. We immediately thought bold, bright, and fun. Once the logo was established each of us worked on particular collateral, revisiting each others’ work for critique and suggestions to reassure a cohesive design.
I was personally responsible for finalizing the logo and designing and crafting twenty individual metal menu boards, a large metal menu board, and paper menus. I chose steel for the menu board material to achieve a bold representation for the Aztec theme. Steel allowed the menu boards to be magnetic, providing the option of interchangeable menu pages.
